Few Rules to Keep in Mind

Ready to take your dog out for a walk? Here are a few tips to keep in mind, when walking your special one outside.

1. Pick up the poo!
2. Keep your dog close to you
3. Keep your dog at a distance from other dogs
4. Leash on! Always!
5. Avoid trespassing 

I'm sure some of these tips may seem obvious, but you'd be surprised by how many people out walking, don't follow these tips. When walking Sam, we always make sure to take at least two plastic bags with us, even for her brief morning walks. Sam is still a growing immature and very excited pup, who has yet to learn to socialize with other dogs. As a result, when walking her, if we spot a dog in the distance, she is kept on a short leash, and at a distance away from any nearby dogs. She is much better, when walking in crowded areas, but still kept at a short leash, because sometimes she may find it comfortable to jump onto friendly people.
